This rather unique campervan is different from the rest in several ways. Firstly, it has been based on the perfect Transporter chassis, the T32 140 of the T6 generation. It has had no other previous life, other than being a campervan. Bought from new with sole intention of being thoughtfully and carefully converted, it is now ready for a new owner to enjoy. - Based on the best specification Transporter, the Highline provides premium features such as colour coded bumpers and door mirrors, front fog lights, electric windows and mirrors, parking sensors, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. Most importantly, the 140ps engine gives the best blend of performance and economy combined with a six speed manual gearbox, which is rare to find on a campervan. - The key part of any Volkswagen campervan is the pop up roof. Most conversions have to make do with a fibreglass unit on basic gas struts. This however, is fitted with a genuine VW California roof and roof bed. This means it is entirely aluminium and power operated. It can be raised and lowered with the push of a button. The upper bed frame is steel with sprung beech slats and topped with the genuine VW mattress. When not in use, the bed frame pushes up on gas struts to the height of the roof, making the space inside almost double. - Continuing with the genuine Volkswagen California parts, there are two captain front seats with armrests, both can swivel 180 degrees to face the rear. The rear seat sits on California/Caravelle floor rails for ultimate flexibility and folds completely flat to create the second bed. Underneath the rear seat is a huge storage drawer. There is a camping table stored in the sliding door for use outside and a removable table that clips into various positions inside, as can be seen in the photographs. A genuine California electric hook up and water filler point is mounted to the side of the vehicle and gives a factory finish. - The units are built using high quality lightweight panels, specifically designed for motorhome use, and every fitting was chosen with care and for its quality and durability. - Fitted out with mostly German components, including the following: - Truma solar panel: Permanently keeping the batteries topped up and managed by a Sargent EC155 power control system. The solar panel and electric hook up are both capable of charging the leisure battery and van starter battery. You can confidently go anywhere off grid and keep all systems running. The power management system contains the 240v safety devices, fuses and master control panel. The control panel displays both battery levels and can isolate the water pump and auxiliary lighting. - Refrigeration: Dometic CRX50 - Cooking: Dometic Twin burner stainless steel gas hob and sink. - Trumatic E 2400 Heating system: Silent in operation and cleverly fuelled by the integrated gas system, this heating system is incredibly efficient and can operate for many hours, off grid and not reliant on the diesel required for running the vehicle. - Integrated LPG Gas System: Discreetly mounted under the vehicle this professionally installed LPG system supplies the gas hob and heating system independently. A colossal 15 litre capacity for ultimate off grid exploration, but at the low cost of LPG supplied at most fuel stations. It has the added bonus of an external connection for an outdoor cooking appliance. - Viewing of this incredible vehicle is highly recommended, it will be supplied with a current electrical safety and gas safety certificate, a fresh MOT and a national premium motorhome warranty.
